BNYS Bordeaux -> New York en Solitaire 15 Avr 2015 22:04 #580761

Bonsoir,

A suivre....

Nautiquement votre, Oliv

Bella Vista Europe

Plus d'info sur ce boat ci-dessous.
Equipé à l'origine d'un in-board diesel / bio-diesel
Je n'ai pas plus d'info sur le parcours qu'il a effectué ...

Zodiac Hurricane 733 24' Custom Cabin RIB This is a one-of-a-kind custom Zodiac Hurricane 733 rigid inflatable boat. It utilizes the proven Zodiac military spec hull and incorporates features for all weather protection and extended cruising. In 1994, it became the smallest power boat to circle the world, completing a 2 1/2 year 35,000 mile voyage around the world powered exclusively by biodiesel. Since that time it has been primarily exhibited at boat shows and events with very little time in the water. The in-water photograph shows it at the completion of that voyage to see how it looks completely fitted out. The remaining pictures show the condition today with engine and obsolete equipment removed - nearly ready for repainting. I was re-conditioning the boat for recreational purposes (possibly converting to twin outboards to allow maximum deck space) but now must consider selling for personal reasons. The following paragraphs detail the primary features and condition of sale. Hull - The deep V fiberglass hull is the standard military spec design that Zodiac utilizes for Special Operations and rescue organizations around the world. The hull has never been painted and has no known structural defects or problems other than a couple of minor dings. Inflatable Tubes - The tubes are made of neoprene/hypalon and have painted lettering. The tubes leak overnight and would need troubleshooting (I don't see any obvious problems - could be valves, but who knows) or replacement due to age. They have custom attachment flaps to the cabin and a previously existing cockpit enclosure, and a custom stainless bow roller for the anchor rode. They show their age and use but could be made functional. Cabin - the cabin and cockpit canopy frame are aluminum. The entire cabin is flange bolted to stainless inserts in the deck and is easily removed. The sides are contoured to receive the tubes. The windscreen is welded to the cabin - the cockpit canopy is bolted to the top of the windscreen and can be easily removed. The cockpit canopy incorporates four 43 watt solar panels. The design objective was to provide a secure environment for extreme weather and dry storage, and also the ability to easily remove the entire cabin for any reason, and to provide access to fuel tanks below the cabin/deck. Previously installed lockers and storage systems have been removed. Two openings in the deck can be seen inside the cabin - they permit easy access to two thru-hull fittings that were used for a watermaker and head. Self-Righting System - The aluminum arch above the transom is a Self-Righting System. If the boat capsizes the contents of the orange compressed air cylinder can be released to inflate a 10' hypalon air bag which sits (collapsed) in the cradle on top of the gantry. Fortunately I've never had to activate the system so it will need a recharge and servicing. Propulsion - The boat has a MerCruiser Bravo II drive that turns easily by hand and has no known mechanical problems. This was a replacement with less than 400 hours on it. A 19x19 aluminum prop will be included in the sale. The original engine was a MerCruiser D636 but it has been sold - the boat does not come with an engine. Fuel Tanks and System - There are three below-deck custom aluminum fuel tanks with a combined capacity of approximately 280 gallons. The tanks occupy all the space forward of the engine compartment below deck and can be inspected thru access plates. The fuel system is designed for diesel/biodiesel systems - each tank has a supply and return line which terminates at a supply and return manifold system. All fuel lines are Teflon interior with flexible stainless exterior. This setup allow switching between tanks and movement of fuel from one tank to another. Each tank is setup with a Hart line to manually measure fuel levels, and with overflow hoses for routing outside the cabin. There are no known leaks or problems with any of the tanks, but they will need cleaning due to lack of use. The tanks are bolted to the deck and one or more could be removed if desired. Systems and Equipment - The photos show trim systems and miscellaneous systems and parts mounted in the engine compartment and elsewhere - these will be sold with the boat but the buyer should assume they will all need troubleshooting or replacement due to lack of use. I discarded most of the electronics and nav equipment due to obsolescence, but the sale will include components for the autopilot system (probably OK), SSB and VHF Icom radios (worked the last time I tried them), and other miscellaneous items. For evaluation purposes please assume these have little value. Trailer - A twin axle, full roller trailer with surge brakes is included with the sale. Commercial Use - Law requires that any boat used to carry cargo or passengers for commercial purposes between US ports must have been built in America. This boat was built by Zodiac primarily in Canada. However, I obtained an official exemption to this law because so much custom work was done in the USA, so the boat can be used for commercial purposes if desired. Conditions of Sale - The boat is offered as is, where is - what you see is what you will get (as shown in the pictures with the boat located on its trailer, not the picture of the boat in the water), plus some electronics that may or may not have value. I don't know of any significant problems but must sell as-is because it has not been in the water recently or surveyed. The boat is located in Fairfield, Iowa 52556 and is available for inspection and/or survey. The boat and trailer have valid Iowa titles. The boat is being offered thru other venues and could be removed from eBay at any time. The sale will be final so please ask any questions and inspect the boat prior to purchase. Sale Price and Payment - I will consider any reasonable offer for sale or trade. Payment must be made in cash (USD) only. Removal and Shipping - All shipping arrangements and related costs are the responsibility of the buyer. However, if arrangements are agreed upon prior to purchase I could deliver the boat on it's trailer for $1 per round trip mile.
